There is a huge controversy and year long protests here in British Columbia with a company ready to CLEAR CUT THE DRAINAGE OF FAIRY CREEK which feeds this pristine lake. Such a shame as it is ONE OF THE LAST OLD GROWTH FORESTS ON VANCOUVER ISLAND. The Little Tree on Fairy lake is a symbol to me of THE STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE IN A WORLD BASED ON GREED AND POWER...The Little Tree on Fairy Lake is a wonderful sight to see and photograph. This lone tree grows atop a log in the clear waters of Fairy Lake near Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. In my photograph mist rises slowly around the tree from the warmth of the sun on this January day.
