Description
Death Valley, California is such a great place to visit and to explore with or without a camera. Lots of exercise climbing the dunes for sure. Light is critical and the avid photographer must be out before the sun comes up and after the sun goes down. In the mid-day sun the features generally washout to such an extent that one is better to find a shady retreat and wait for the light. Here, I am fortunate to be out before the other visitors are climbing the dunes leaving their footprints in abundance. Timing is crucial...hope for big winds in the night to erase any tell-tale evidence of the multitudes of people who visit this area.
