Wonderful light in an incredible location known as "The Subway" on the Left Fork of North Creek in Zion National Park, Utah, USA.The incredible space known as The Subway has to be one of the most wonderful areas I have had the good fortune to hike to and to photograph. The Subway's location involves a rigorous hike but is well worth the effort for those who are interested enough. I found this hike and the environs surrounding The Subway to be wonderful. I hiked into The Subway in February 2012 and had the place entirely to myself. It was a thrill to be there for me and, with the short daylight in February, had just enough time to shoot and get out in the dark. This is a demanding area so come prepared.

Beautiful location Bob and a wonderful shot. Well worth the hike. How long of a hike was it if you don't mind me asking? I'm planning to be in that area in the next couple of months and doing some preliminary planning. Thanks. Hany

Hi Hany...The "hike" is really more of an "obstacle course" of huge rocks in and out of the creek. I have been there twice and it took me all of 14 hours to hike and photograph (probably only 9 miles).
