The Narrows is a place for visitors to take a moment and pause long enough to see what is around them in this beautiful world. The Virgin River cuts a path through the sandstone of Zion National Park in Utah, USA. Hiking this canyon requires a lot of wading and crossing the river multiple times. It is a unique hike as you seem to spend about as much time walking in the river as you do on dry land. Beautiful sandstone cliffs on each side of the Virgin soar over 1000 feet skyward. light is what photography is all about and the reflected light in this canyon is what many photographers have based their careers on and made there fortunes from. This is a favorite place of mine but be careful...flash floods are a danger so proceed carefully and you will be rewarded with a most wonderful experience...Cheers Bob
